Unique old scale model of a ship, made of zinc. The model is designed with very strong lines which gives a cubistic and modernist style. The ships was probably made as a shop- or restaurantsign and has been hanging for years on the front of a building, by this reason it has a nicely worn patina on the zinc surface. Origin Belgium 1960s, comes with custom made metal base.

Italian grand tour model of the temple of Castor and Pollux. Late 19th century. Made of mahogany wood with bronze capitals, mounted on a faux marble base. The temple of Castor and Pollux was an ancient temple in Rome. It was originally built in gratitude for victory at the battle of Lake Regillus.

The sculpture has an amazing patina with cracks in the surface, which give this a true wabisabi expression. You can see clearly that this sculpture has to become a figure. Found in an old artists workshop near Antwerp Belgium.

Bronze brutalist sculpture made by Belgian artist Marc De Bruyn (Aalst 1924-2009). This sculpture is a mix of brutalist structures and geometric shapes, you can see clearly several cubes in different dimensions, circles and typical brutalist raw structures. Mounted on a custom made metal display, with a total height of 34cm. Marc De Bruyn studied painting and sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Aalst and later at the Higher Institute of Sint-Lucas in Ghent. Marc processes stone, copper, iron and aluminium directly on the raw material. His work is based on strong lines, geometric abstraction and fluid non figurative designs.

In very good and stable condition, one leather strap was replaced. Farstrup is a Danish furniture brand, founded in 1910, specializing in handmade, high-quality and individually customizable chairs and armchairs, known for Danish design, ergonomics, craftsmanship and the use of sustainable materials, with production in its own Danish factory.

Monumental thick layered abstract painting titled 'The after'. Signed Louis De Maeyer 9 september 1937. Thick layered dots of oil paint on canvas which gives a very special brutal atmosphere. In the back of the painting you can see the appearance of a person. Louis De Maeyer was a Belgian artist born in Berchem near Antwerp in 1903 and died in 1981 in Terneuzen, the Netherlands. He was a painter who trained at the Academy and the Higher Institute in Antwerp under the direction of Is. Opsomer (1920 - 1926). Soon, light and matter will be the great poles around which his art will evolve.

Old English terracotta dragon finial, in nicely weathered condition and shown on a custom made metal display. The decoration of the ridge of the roof and gables revived in the Victorian times. Before 1870's, in the gothic revival period the dragon and other figures were preferred to keep the evil spirits away. This custom probably originated in the Chinese belief.

Set of 8 antique French beehives, made of thick pieces of cork assemled with wooden plugs, steelwire and nails. They were used in the coastal and mediterranean region of France, on the top of the hive they used a piece of slate to cover the beehive. In the hives are small holes which were the entrances for the bees. They have a beautiful colour and patina with a raw structure, real wabisabi pieces. Condition and wear consistent with age and use. Different dimensions, the largest has a height of 75cm and the smallest 41cm
